Talk about baby mementos....

Friend A : My parents had my first pair of shoes bronzed!
Friend B : Really? Mine had my handprints casted when I was 1!
Suri : Mine had my poop bronzed!
Friend A & B : .............

This is no joke. Seriously.

Weird as it is, it's their baby... they can do whatever they want with their kid's processed food. It's just a rather.... unOrthodox, to say the least. What if it becomes a trend????

Man, I'd be traumatised if my parents immortalised my shit.

... and why am I posting about some famous couple's baby's poop when it is Hari Merdeka? *pap* I fail as a citizen TT_TT. Anyhoo...

You still have loads to go though! I mean, sometimes you kinda come across like you're a little constipated (pun unintended)... you know, like sometimes you move forward then two steps back kinda thing. A little uncertain I suppose.

But I can tell you this: no matter where I go in the future, I know a big part of my heart will remain right here. Selamat Hari Merdeka, people!

Midvalley Outing

I'm actually beyond broke, but then PY asked me out to watch Monster House last Sunday.

     How could I resist? But that day felt damn sleepy... And I woke up at the time I was supposed to leave my house, haha. And I wouldn't had woken up if LC hadn't called me ^_^;;; Sorry ya. Malaysian Time. Summore it's our National Day in about an hour~ Semangat leh!

     Monster House was okay... I liked the girl and the house. The thing I didn't like was that they used motion capture (er, where they put little dots on the actor's body to track the movements) and it looks rather weird-ish in a cartoon like this. Many animations coming to the cinema! Flushed Away, Ant Bully, Over the Hedge, etc. Flushed Away looks quite interesting! Ah~~~ reminds me I haven't watched Howl's Moving Castle...

     Four pictures from my camera and the rest are from PY (My camera sucks orz. But still! Camera =DDD) Taken while waiting for lunch. Manhattan Fish Market, yummy! But my wallet is somewhat sobbing uncontrollably...

LC and me... Eeee, so orange-y~

Don't worry PY, I share your love for camwhoreness =DDDD

ARRGGH, my big head can't fit this frame!! Hey there baby~~ (ZOMG shivers)

LC trying to do a ANTM moment

Manhattan Fish Market

PY looking deliciously sweet.

LC looking more and more like a seasoned camwhore.

I like this picture! I mean, minus out my idiotic face, PY looks good~

Lalalala, why our food haven't arrive?

Oh well, might as well take more pictures *gets shot* XDXD

Sotong and Shitake mushrooms~~ LETS.DIG.IN!!

... so there ends the story of the abandoned prawn head and the four fries who love him.

On the bus ride to Bangsar
(Bloody! KTM faster!!! Took me two hours to get home, hellll)

     I just realised, why no pic of PY and LC together? Sekali make ppl salah faham T_T. Nolah, they were sitting across each other while I'm in the middle so I have plenty opportunities to camwhore ahahah! I chose my place well XDXD. When we wanted to pay our bills, no waiter/waitress could see our waving hands. Well, the cashier saw us twice, but she DIVERTED HER EYES! The hell. So many waiter/waitresses near her, she could had at least alert them. Grrr.

     So thus, to those ppl who ask me go yumcha (Vish, Wai Mun and you know who you are la, lol), sorry yah, I'm very the pokkai now... Sigh, wished I could go though. Blame it on Malaysian Mega Sales.

     Woke up damn late today, but now I feel quite refreshed. Just did the laundry and currently too lazy to iron clothes, ahhh~~~. Today, Aunt Loo cooked this dish, which has noodle, cucumber, chicken meat and PEANUT BUTTER in it! Sounds weird, but it was absolutely delicious. Both sweet and fresh, and it's rather rojak-like.

Random photo post...

There was this Korean fest in SGM last month, where I helped out at the traditional Korean musical instruments section. My mom kinda made me to go, but I feel kinda glad that I agreed! It was pretty fun. There were also Japanese, Malay, Kadazan/Bidayuh, Indian and Chinese culture fest, but I didnt get to visit any of them as I was busy with my task (I played the drum 'duk'). Many of the Korean members were decked out in their hanbok, and it looks so pretty on them! Especially the little kids, looked super adorable in their traditional costume~ *pinch pinch* They even had hanboks there so the visitors can wear it and take a picture... before the event started, I got to wear it (for free! lol) and took a picture! Wheee.... staff benefits! XD I thought the hanbok will look horrible on me, but to my surprise, it's quite nice~

Lo and behold! Me trying to act demure. You know, like how the stereotypical Asian girls should be. It might not be clear in this picture, but if am chucked back half-a-century ago, I'll be the wife/daughter-in-law from hell. ( not go in details, lol).

I totally like how it hides my gemuk =DDD
+ .... & the fact I can hide snacks under it
+ & after eating, I can totally use the 'bow' as a hankie or smthg....
+ ... you know I'm kidding, right?

Me and me mam

Alison and me! I couldn't look at her with a straight face ^o^

The hanbok was just slipped-on, you can see the white collar of my T-shirt ^_^;;.

A better pic of Madie... in her bodoh gaze( >.<)

Fido AKA Old Man -> 12 years old. Beautiful brown eyes~~
I shall never love blue eyes again...

Milo, Mocha & Madie
Taken some time back, when Mocha was still a puppy
... and when Madie wasn't botak XD

Yes.... feel very lazy to type (+ I need to do me work), so shall keep words as minimal as possible, and let the pictures speak =P:

... need... bigger... table....

Recently made DIY Earring hanger

.... =)

Okay, those two pictures above clearly screams, "CAMWHORE!". Thousand words, isn't it? Wahahaha! I have another picture, but unless it's Friendster or MySpace, it'll be too 'jia lat' to placed anywhere else XDXD

More photos coming up! (Last week's class @ LUCT KL Centre)

What happens if you love too many things?

Well, loving too many things could be akin to having multiple boyfriends (although I must admit I have no experience in having my own boy, let alone multiple ones at that ^_^;;;)... you can't juggle them properly. Whatever attention given to them will just be half-arsed, and it'll land you in a mass of confusion.

This poem could be my literature doppelganger. Now which of us shall disappear? Apparently if you knock into your doppelganger, one will disappear, and most likely it's you. However, the poem doesn't resemble me in any way physically, so I guess I'm safe. Yes. Mindless crapping I just did, really.

The Men Who Don't Fit In
- Robert W. Service

There's a race of men that don't fit in,
A race that can't stay still;
So they break th hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain's crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don't know how to rest.

If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But they're always tired of the things that are,
And they want the strange and new.
They say: "Could I find my proper groove,
What a deep mark I would make!"
So they chop and change, and each fresh move
Is only a fresh mistake.

And each forgets, as he strips and runs
With a brilliant, fitful pace,
It's the steady, quiet, plodding ones
Who win in the lifelong race.
And each forgets that his youth has fled,
Forgets that his prime is past,
Till he stands one day, with a hope that's dead,
In the glare of the truth at last.

He has failed, he has failed; he has missed his chance;
He has just done things by half.
Life's been a jolly good joke on him,
And now is the time to laugh.
Ha, ha! He is one of the Legion Lost;
He was never meant to win;
He's a rolling stone, and it's bred in the bone;
He's a man who won't fit in.

Reading this felt as though the little worried voice in my heart yelled through a speaker... a metaphoric fortune teller churning out a premonition from her hazy little crystal ball... for this habit of mine. It's a bit like Caesar, only without winning the battle: I saw, I tinkered, I left. (ML, stop nodding your head already!!! XD) Starting to really think what I want from this life of mine. It's been a fuzzy road, but art always returns and reigns on a Mount Everest-like top. The rest has to run behind it I suppose. And now... if only I know which would keep up.

Malaysian Mega Sale is killing my wallet slowly, with great pleasure. I rarely spend so much before, so I feel kinda guilty. Went gallivanting with LC and PY a few weeks back, and as usual I didn't feel like going home XD. I bought a Samuel&Kevin shirt (RM25 after a 50% discount) and this Radioactive bag (Value buy, RM35):

I really like it, because it reminds me of Vespas and Italy. The retro feel as well~ Other than those, I've gotten a vest, a shirt and a mini skirt from this secondhand clothes shop (American Bundle) near my area. Two earrings from this vintage themed store in Sg Wang's 6th floor; I adore looking at the deco... Old records hanging on wall, posters from 1970s/1980s, vintage luggages and one of them was opened to display earrings (<-- instant infatuation), and even the owner of the shop looks like he too made a trip in Doraemon's magic desk ^o^~~. From Axxezz, a decora hairband and a set of earrings and necklace. A pair of shoes since mine were falling apart. Broke as hell!!! ARGH! Need! to! save up!!! Backpacking trip with PY and LC in a few years. I really hope that it'll happen, and not remain as a dream. Perhaps when I start working, I should try for a job in Singapore or something, because the currency exchange rate is better. Have been thinking a lot about pursuing a job in arts field, because it's not as cracked up to be. As in, I still want to do art for the rest of my life, but the thing is, it really depends on luck. Perhaps you'll get a job in arts that requires you to do mindless editting and not being able to have creative freedom. And it will be hectic, therefore you have no time to pursue personal projects. Now compare it to other jobs where you're certain you could leave the office at say, 5pm. Yet I'm still rather reluctant either way, though LC told me that I won't be happy if I'm not in the art field. Ah, decisions, decisions. There'll prolly be another post abt this, because I'm just running words through my fingers as it's dinnertime and I'm going to makan~~ The lure of foooodddddddd~~~ most probably, very fat ( ; __ ;)

Trip to Pet Salon

Madie's gorgeous curly but matted hair was really getting out of hand, so me mam decides to bring her to a pet salon. One touch and the guy was like, uh-oh, they all gotta go.

Mam: TT_TT Really? But I think the hair on her head can be saved?
Guy: *touch touch* Ya, can.

It's REALLY matted. As in, when the girl shaved her fur, it's like shaving a lamb, because it all came out in ONE nearly perfect piece. Me and my mam and other people in the salon commented that it looks as though Madie has her clothes off. The girl folded Madie's 'shirt' and threw it. Aiyah, should had kept it!! After that, it's bath time, blow dry, clip nails and 'hair-styling'. Took nearly 3 hours, thus my butt was aching from the wait.

At least Madie could always see us since it's a glass window separating us. She was a bit frightened at first, she might had thought we were giving her away... poor baby! All the other dogs were like, damn relax weh. Very uhm... *lie down & cross leg* *puts paw on human hand for nail clipping* "I'm too sexy for this salon~~".

On the other hand, Madie jumped from the table thrice and placed her paws on the glass windows with the look "OMG SAVE ME!!! *gets dragged back*" Thought of going in, but decided against it. Just made motions to calm her down. But from then on, Madie's new nickname is "Kampung Girl"

When she was done, I thought she looked rather hilarious.

(pic taken four days after actual pampering) + (photo doesn't do her justice, but she's all fidgety!!)

Yes, I AM aware that my bedsheet, comforter and bolster cover doesn't match... hey, as long as it's comfy, right? XD

Paper Tape version of semi Doppelganger

Well, at least ONE of my holiday plans was accomplished... which is 'Make own paper-tape dummy'. The general idea is to get someone to tape you up, and when you cut it out, you'll get a body-double shell. Meet Jenna!

Er... something tells me to lay off the chocolates, Oreos, fried salty fishies and beer... =( Muns wrapped my contours so well, you could see my toulam =((( [Toulam = big tummy basically]

Oh yes, here's a THANK YOU very the muchy!!, dedicated to ML! I mean, I've seen other homemade duct/paper-tape dummies and theirs kinda sucked, so I tried not to have any high expectation for my own, but the end result just blew me away! My dummy's surface is so neat and smooth and resembles me muchly... Kyaaa, so nice~~ All I did was stand there, and it was ML who revolved around me, taping and taping... haha, Muns, you sound like a moon XDXD!

It took about three hours and approximately 5 paper-tape rolls, and some patience from both parties. Toss in a couple of humour when I tried walking around with my thighs pretty much taped together. And voila! Pity we forgot to take pictures of the progress. My knees hurt a bit from standing for that amount of time. It's a bit of an irony that standing still can be more tiring than walking around.

And how will I forget... okay, what would happen if two mischievous imps (in the form of ML's sis and her boy XD) and a mechanical pencil do a little get-together? Let's see: my left boob is named after me, the other is Jenna Jameson (hence my dummy's name XD)
Chest :
"Show me the implants, babeh!" + "I NEED MORE BIGGER!"+ two devil mice running about
Tummy : "Beer goes here!" + "Gulu-gulu... feed me!!"+ Liposuction tube with an 'X' for insertation... (damn you!)
Shoulder :
... general rank....
Crotch :
"Enter here at ur own risk!" (WTF! Oh well... at least it's not RM5 per entry *faints*)
Armpits :
Long long line (hairs...) + "Shave me!" + "I need deodourant! Stinky!!!"
Waist :
Hula dancer + "Look at my body, I'm a HOT mama!!!" + "SUPPORT TRANS!!!" (WHAT THE!)
Back :
Angel wings "Flip flap" + poring from RO + barcode on back of neck ala 'Dark Angel'
Butt : "Squeeze me! Grab me and don't let go!!" + "Shake my butts, baybehhhh" + lips (kiss my ass? XD) + "Nice arse *slurps*" + "Puttttt... oops" + poo

If you're interested to make your own, here's some links: SewNews (<-- we used this!), Clone Yourself a Fitting Assistant, Duct Tape Form

What? Can't be arsed to read through pages of instructions? Worry not!!! I give you... The Leh-zah guide to make a papertape dummy! Simple, enjoyable and fun!!

As demonstrated with Aunty Jiejie Gianne.

Step 1

... procreate. >:D

After approximately 9 months, where within that period you'd be highly encouraged to snack on a generous amount of paper-tape, you'll get smthg like this:
... yup. Hybrid. Due to the very unusual(but cute) head, your little baby will be teased endlessly by Muns and JT faceless and nameless people, dodging the camera =D

Okay, I was *attempting* those fancy ballroom Dip-me-Oh-Dahhhlink dance move, but I positioned the dummy wrongly! So.. shall I call that a Freudian-Dip? XDXD OMG 20 years old and still spouting lame jokes. But then again, it's just so wrong... it's like incest O_o. Ew.

Oh oh, see the hybrid picture! Do you see the two Cinnamoroll dolls? If yes, you're drunk. =_=;;; Sober up then read my blog again. Hahaa, naw, you ain't drunk (but if you see only ONE cinnamoroll, you are.)... one of them is actually ML's belated bday gift from me. Didn't get a chance to pass it to her since she was overseas and all. So, imagine my expression when I saw the EXACT soft-toy on her bed when I gave it to her. A fair fight between "*bengang*", "Oh shiat!" and "Oh yeaaaa, I'm psychic, baby!!" @_@ Turns out it was JT, her boy, who gave it to her one week prior... Don't care, I bought the doll earlier than you!! o(>.<)o LOL jk lah! Now ML has twins, and it was fun seeing her little sis trying to 'kidnap' one for herself and ML doing a Finding Nemo moment, "No~~ Mine! Mine! Mine!" XDXD Oh, here's her present for me:

Cute leh!

My body double is a camwhore... And such a show-off! Look at her brand new neck and her holes are all covered! (... something just feels really wrong with that last sentence...)
I've also stuffed it with scrunched up newspapers so it's more solid. Used about... three newspapers? Feel kinda guilty to the trees. Sorry TT_TT. Next time I promise to be thinner, and if I ever find a better stuffing (polyester fiberfill), I'll recycle!!

Time for Change

What's the odds of buying two books at the same time, of different genres , and in both, there was an identical sentence, word for word, as well as the character's name in it? It was "Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold and I can't recall the other book. Was it a Wally Lamb?

How about tearing out an ad in the papers of a certain University of Hertfordshire (the sentence 'International Scholarships Available' tempted me) and then resumed reading 'Pride and Prejudice' to be greeted by the word 'Hertfordshire' scattered throughout the book?

There are many other instances like these, even more so when books are involved, only I've never take note and the memory is no longer solid, but a hard-to-see wisp in my head.

They are consistent coincidences that delights me still.

I'm in a love-hate relationship with my computer, more so with the WWW. I loathe it for taking away so much of my time, and yet I still am grateful for the exposures I got from it. The friends it gave me. My first outlet of expression. The lessons it taught me. The place I Yahoo-ed for whatever seemingly turbulent adolescent afflictions I had. It was a part of my life since 11 years ago.... Man, this reminds me of my MIRC days! Where I would chat like mad and paedophiles-chatters would flock to me and I'd still innocently layan them (hey, I just realised who they were now, okay?).

But now I'm just feeling sick of it at times. It's boring. I don't even like chatting online that much anymore. I'm tired of reading words in my room, with the air-con on. It's just not comfortable anymore. My butt's getting pretty numb and flat (though you didn't really need to know that =D). The emoticons and LOLs that doesn't even means anything. I want to hear, feel the warmth of a person nearby, see the expression, however subtle those expressions may be and all that ... life?

I'm not saying that it's totally bad, but it is when you can't get anything else done. I can admit that I'm pretty dependant on my computer. Can't recall when I got pulled in. I started thinking about this recently, because I was talking to this girl I met while working in Bukit Jalil last week for Hari Pengguna, because her sister is a bit like me (only she doesn't know it XD) and it's refreshing to hear from her perspective.

I'm limiting myself off the computer, unless it's for assignments.

On the subject of crying, have you ever felt a sudden sadness; uncalled for, unexpected and unexplained? For me, it hits my shoulder blades first. Don't ask, it's just blooms from there. Perhaps it's not without a reason. There's an ample of little sorrows that I've accumulated inside. I'm a terrible hoarder, as one may notice if they ever see the state of my room.

A couple of snowflakes rolling down a snow-covered mountain. Silently, it roll and rolls again, picking up more snow... what was a marble, turned into a tennis ball to a basketball and so on. Rolling on and on, and the first snowflake starts to feel dizzy, cramped and choked. At long last it hits a barrier and it breaks in thousands of pieces!

Amidst the shocked humans around, the former snowball feels really good.
